Whistleblowing serves vital institutional and public purposes. It allows issues of public interest to be identified and resolved internally, where possible, and, where not, it brings alleged wrongdoing to public attention so problems can be corrected and future harm avoided. The Centre for Free Expression is one of Canada’s leading authorities on whistleblowing. Your support makes possible the many vital parts of our whistleblowing initiatives:

 • providing confidential advice to those considering reporting wrongdoing at work that could affect the public;
 • conducting benchmarking research in Canada on organizational whistleblowing; practices in both the public and private sectors;
 • analyzing whistleblower protection laws in Canada and internationally to identify best practices;
 • assisting public and private sector organization develop effective internal whistleblower programs;
 • encouraging law reform to better protect public interest whistleblowers;
 • undertaking public education about the importance of whistleblowing to a healthy society

Toronto Metropolitan University will issue a charitable tax receipt for any gift over $20.
