Yusra Javed Memorial Award

School of Journalism
Yusra Javed (1998-2019) was an RSJ student and an aspiring young journalist who left an indelible mark in the lives of all who knew her after.

Determined and fiercely passionate, Yusra was finishing up her Bachelor's degree at the School of Journalism while working at the Queen's Park press gallery as an intern where she impressed her colleagues with not only her drive and political reporting chops but also her compassion and kindness towards others.

We are currently raising funds for an award in her memory that will help a future School of Journalism student pursue their dreams passionately.
